Autonomous Driving Applications

The last Autonomous Driving Level 2 Feature on Divided Roads including Semi-Autonomous Lane Change using Front and Corner Radars as well as Front Camera is also relying on Map based ADASIS standardized interfaces in order to increase the range of perception far ahead and improve the so-called lane model but also to anticipate decreasing legal speed limits to be at the right time at the right speed.

Further features are to be delivered within oncoming years to improve e.g. longitudinal driving management.

Collaboration with Tier1 and OEM partners on the development of SAE Level 2+ and Level 3 Autonomous Driving systems is underway since 2018.

ADASIS standard allows a common language and to have standardized interfaces regardless of the partner chosen to provide this information but also regardless of the E/E architecture of the Technical Concept (full onboard map data, map tiles streaming from offboard to the vehicle, full e-Horizon provided from offboard)

It also has the benefit of describing extensively the map data that can be used by different ADAS features and other applications (such as powertrain related applications).

In addition, ADASIS is dealing with different map formats such as so-called standardized maps, but also High Definition Maps.
