Use of ADASIS

P3 has put together a team to create a middleware solution that resides between Android Automotive OS and a car’s ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The new platform is being designed to translate high definition map information originating in the Android Automotive OS domain into a standardized protocol based on ADASIS which interfaces directly with the car’s core operational network and its ADAS.

Benefit of using ADASIS

ADASIS provides a standardized, vendor-agnostic interface that enables high-definition map data to be transmitted directly into a vehicle’s ADAS, transforming navigation information into predictive driving functionality. By converting data from Android Automotive OS into the ADASIS protocol, OEMs can seamlessly connect mapping services with core vehicle systems, regardless of the ADAS supplier. This reduces integration complexity and avoids proprietary lock-in.
